DPS offers several extremely useful modes of operation. Precision Mode and Ocean Mode are the primary maneuvering capabilities. You will also have an anchor watch capability that is useful to ensure your anchor is holding and the vessel is within your desired and set distance.

Precision DPS controls engines and thrusters of the boat to keep both position and heading within a close distance to the target location and heading, where DPS has been activated.

Ocean DPS controls only the engines (in case of 2 or more engines, or also thruster on a single engine boat vessel) of the boat to keep the boat within a fixed radius around desired point. The heading of the boat will be adjusted constantly depending on the direction of the wind and currents maneuvering the stern of the vessel into the wind and current. This minimizes the amount of effort used in keeping the boat near the desired position.

The DPS antenna provides unmatched satellite tracking and a built in heading sensor enabling the captain to focus on the task at hand while the Dockmate Positioning System keeps the vessel stationary.
